BWP are currently representing a leading international rail systems provider. In their German office they have an opening for a Technical Head of Signaling who will play an integral role in the continued growth and success of their projects in the region. Reporting directly to the Managing Director the selected individual will be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of all signaling system related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the coordination of signaling requirements management activities
- Ensure the definition of the overall signaling architecture
- Ensure that signaling subsystem interfaces are clearly identified, defined, documented, agreed and managed
- Contribute to the issuing of the integrated plan and ensure the signaling integration activities implementation by a strict monitoring of the project's activities and indicators
- Ensure that all activities performed by the Engineering/Development team are coordinated fulfilling with the technical requirements of the contract, respecting time, budget and workload
- Ensure that projects objectives are communicated to the team and monitor that all activities are correctly directed towards the fulfillment of the objectives according to the approved project schedule
- Contribute to the maintenance of a list of Signaling project issues, making sure that this list is discussed and agreed with the PE and the Project Manager
- Support in the definition of the Testing & Commissioning activities
Key Requirements:
- Degree educated
- German speaking - business level
- Must be eligible to work in Germany
- Minimum of 10 years' experience
- Extensive signaling experience within the rail sector
